Composite Score Formula:

Score = (PTD × 10) + (Passing % × 0.5) + (Completions × 0.1) - (Interceptions × 2)

Where:

  • PTD = Passing touchdowns (weighted most heavily)
  • Passing % = (CMP ÷ (CMP + INC)) × 100
  • Completions = Total passing completions (CMP)
  • Interceptions = QB interceptions thrown (penalty)

Tie-Breaking Order:

  1. Composite score
  2. Passing touchdowns (PTD)
  3. Passing percentage
  4. Total completions

Offensive players are ranked by a composite score that rewards touchdowns, total yards, receptions, and penalizes drops.

Composite Score Formula:

Score = (REC TD × 10) + (Total Yards × 0.1) + (Receptions × 0.05) - (Drops × 0.5)

Where:

  • REC TD = Receiving touchdowns (weighted most heavily)
  • Total Yards = Rushing yards (RYD) + Receiving yards (REC YD)
  • Receptions = Total receptions (REC)
  • Drops = Dropped passes (penalty)

Tie-Breaking Order:

  1. Composite score
  2. Receiving touchdowns (REC TD)
  3. Total yards (RYD + REC YD)

Defensive players are ranked by a composite score that heavily weights sacks and interceptions, while also considering tackles and breakups.

Composite Score Formula:

Score = (Sacks × 10) + (Defensive INT × 8) + (Tackles × 0.1) + (Breakups × 0.5)

Where:

  • Sacks = Total sacks (SK) - weighted most heavily
  • Defensive INT = Defensive interceptions caught (DEF INT)
  • Tackles = Total tackles (TK)
  • Breakups = Blocked passes (BKP)

Note: TOTAL TK displayed in the table = Tackles (TK) + Sacks (SK). This combines both defensive stats into a single total.

Tie-Breaking Order:

  1. Composite score
  2. Sacks (SK)
  3. Defensive interceptions (DEF INT)
  4. Total tackles (TK)

💡 Why Composite Scoring?

Instead of ranking by a single stat (like "most touchdowns"), composite scoring provides a more balanced evaluation that considers:

  • Efficiency: A QB with fewer TDs but higher completion % can rank higher
  • Volume: Players with more total yards/receptions get credit for production
  • Penalties: Interceptions and drops reduce scores appropriately
  • Multiple Factors: Considers both production and efficiency, not just one stat

Example - QB Ranking:

QB A: 6 PTD, 50% completion, 20 CMP, 2 INT
Score: (6×10) + (50×0.5) + (20×0.1) - (2×2) = 83 points
QB B: 5 PTD, 70% completion, 30 CMP, 1 INT
Score: (5×10) + (70×0.5) + (30×0.1) - (1×2) = 86 points ✅ (Higher rank)

QB B ranks higher despite fewer touchdowns because of better efficiency and more completions.
